VIMCDCI joins outreach program to help families in Mercedes, Camarines Norte

Vicente Isabel Multispecialty Clinic and Diagnostic Center (VIMCDCI) gives free blood typing in Mercedes, Camarines Norte as part of the municipality’s annual Kadagatan Festival.

In partnership with the organizing committee of the Kadagatan Festival, VIMCDCI was able to administer free blood type tests to families in Brgy. Quinapaguian, an island in Mercedes, Camarines Norte. The recipients of the tests can use the results of their blood typing for medical information and data gathering.

The initiative is part of the “Kalinga sa Mercedenos”, a community outreach program during the festival that aims provide services to locals.

“We are happy to be part of the Kadagatan Festival outreach program and to be able to provide medical services and donations to communities that are rarely reached by adequate medical attention,” Maricel V. Pestaño, CEO of VIMCDCI said.

VIMCDCI fielded its Daet branch’ phlebotomist, East Sevilles and its marketing officer Jiovanni Ang to lead the medical mission where they were able to provide the said tests to 10% of the Quinapaguian’s population. They were joined by a number of volunteer doctors and medical professionals from the mainland.

Aside from the medical mission, the “Kalinga sa Mercedenos” program include optical and dental services, books and toys donation, costal clean-up as well as sports fests. The Mercedes Kadagatan Festival is now on its 25th year anniversary.

Locals can avail the medical services of VIMCDCI in its branch located in unit 1E Daet Medical Plaza, Bagasbas road, Daet Camarines Norte from Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm and every Sunday 7am to 5pm.
